“Pets provide companionship, comfort, love and humor to our lives and no two are alike, which is why detailed drawing is so important to me.”

Once you have decided to commission a pet portrait, you need to look through photos you already have and choose your favorites. You may need to take new photos that are more clear, which show the details you want to see, such as the eyes. The portraits are only as real-looking as the photo reference I am given, so clarity is important.
See my Tips on Taking Pet Photos.
Once I have received your photos, we will email back and forth discussing the piece and if your photo is of the quality you’d like the portrait to represent. Once we have agreed on the photo reference, I will give you an estimated completion date. This is currently around 2-4 weeks, but often, I can accommodate an earlier turnaround.
A 50% deposit and an approved photograph are required before work on your portrait will begin. After your deposit is received, I will begin the portrait and send you photo updates along the way.
Once your pet portrait is finished, I will email you a photo of the artwork for approval. Once approved, the final payment will be due. After I receive your final payment, I will ship your portrait, USPS Priority Mail, insured, and it will usually arrive in 2-3 days.
